Meet Our Staff
Our partnership began many years before we ever became Doctors of Chiropractic. We met during college while earning our bachelor’s degrees in biology at Creighton University (in Omaha, NE) and were both interested in the medical field. Though neither of us had much background in chiropractic care, we instantly became interested in it — here was a form of healthcare that aligned with our philosophy of health and life, to work naturally in conjunction with the patient’s body, and to heal the body from within.
We each took jobs in separate chiropractic clinics where we worked as office staff. Each of us had to decide on our own if chiropractic care was a fit. After shadowing the doctors and learning the day-to-day operations of a chiropractic office, we made the decision to move to California and attend Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose.
After graduating in 2005, we worked together in a chiropractic office for a short while and learned the ins and outs of owning a business. Later that year, we cofounded Healthworks Chiropractic in Milpitas, CA.
As a family practice, Healthworks Chiropractic treats patients of all ages and walks of life, from grandparents to grandchildren. Though most patients initially come for back or neck pain, nearly half our patients have some form of extremity complaint. Shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, ankles, and even the TMJ (jaw) are all treated at Healthworks Chiropractic.
As graduates of the Palmer Philosophy system, we employ several adjustment techniques in practice, including Diversified, Activator, Pelvic Blocking, Drop Table, and Cox Flexion-Distraction. We accompany this with several physiotherapy and rehabilitation protocols.
